I remember one season he got injured and had to go back to the minors to get in shape again, and he played for Winston-Salem's single A team, and I was lucky to see him play and got his autograph.

worked out great.... The Cubs entered the postseason with the best record in the league. Wedensday, the Dodgers beat the piss out of them largely because of Manny. That should tell you that it doesnt matter how bad the team is.... a guy like Manny will boost morale with all his HR's! Without Manny, Sox wont win the WS.

You were fortunate to see his no-no on ESPN classics, but I was fortunate enough to have been there in person. Yes I still have the ticket stub and it is one of my prize possessions. That day changed my life.
