So from what i read about the video online. It is about a friend who is gay and got criticized a lot when he came out. the song was about encouraging him not commit suicide after all that. I could be wrong though

Just becuase the song was meant to be about something, doesn't mean that you cant't derive a different meaning for yourself. That's the beautiful thing about music, it's open to interpretation ^_^

music of the 90's is way better than the music in the 80's. New kids on the block were one of the first "boy bands" and they came from the 80's.
