I never needed a literal interpretation of this song. It's my life being extended to the beautiful creatures was a really unique and timeless idea and the lines squiggling about such as they are represent the division of cells. TRIBAL? ESSENTIAL. Add such a lovely synth line and beat from the bassline that quietly kicks through and you have one meaning of the 1980s. One classic time for new ideas you can dance to.

Gwen Stefani did a great job with this song... I glad she did justice to it, so many young singers mess up legendary songs these days!

Mark Hollis is one talented individual. I wish Talk Talk would reunite. I can't think of another group I would pay more to see.

Mark Hollis...nothing short of amazing!! No cover of this song can ever top the original!! No Doubt's version can only hope to do it justice but there are some of you out there who actually think it's better??? Now that's just mind boggling if you ask me. I like ND's early stuff but let's face it, Hollis is in a different league altogether, boys and girls! Comparing Gwen Stefani's voice to that of Mark Hollis' is like comparing a Honda to a Rolls-Royce!! There's just no comparison!
