F. von S. has a special human quality to her voice that is very touching, especially in the middle and lower registers. I'm sure she has developed this quality with much thought--it doesn't just happen. She's a fine artist!

When did she perform this? What date?

this version truly sent a shiver down my spine unlike some of the others. such a clear and beautiful voice that suits this music, almost like a like reflecting moonlight ;)

Czech dreamful music :-)

Again, do you mean "Necitelná vodní moci" from the beginning of Act III? There are three renditions here...
And, of course I completely agree with you about F von S!

F von S is so beautiful and sings so musically that it's impossible to imagine anyone else getting so deeply into the music.
I just wish someone would post a vid of the later aria from Rusalka (Act III) which makes this often-touted number look like a non-event...

I've already understand you, frufruJ, but thanks for your explanation.

Hey, I just translated it ;-)
And, of course I meant "to hear *Czech* in the world". I hate these funny typos.

Thanks, frufruJ, for your explanation. It's very pleasant to count on kind people like you that contribute to make richer and greater youTube.
(Please, excuse my english)

loverflicka, I know exactly what you mean, but if you click on "show all comments", it is in the right place :-)
Janinka34 asked me to translate the previous comments for you:
malma3: Isn't it beautiful to hear Chech in the world... Thanks, Tony.
Janinka34: In the world - yes. Furthermore, this concert took place in Prague, in the Municipal House, Smetana Hall, in 1993 - 100th anniversary of the premiere of the New World Symphony. |
