Yes, ABS is much safer than PVC. If something fails, the PVC will shatter or explode and could seriously hurt the user. By using ABS, if it fails, it will split instead of shattering and its safer for higher pressure loads.

I built my potatoe guns ignitor just like the one in the johnny, its very simple and effecient, just put a bead of silicon around the hole(superglue locks up the ignitor) but i used a 4in chanmber to 2 in barrel for better compression, mines pretty big now but im planning on building a smaller one around 2 ft long

Out of my own experience with these, a butane&propane mixture disolves really rapidly in the air. If you are outside and there's a lightbreeze it can be problematic when you fill a large combustion chamber with hairspray. What I did was drill a tiny hole in the middle and screw in a male male ventile in it. Get your pure propane or butane and simply fill it up without losing any gas. Also hairspray tends to make your electrodes sticky and they won't spark anymore.

hi, Also made some spudguns :) and gas doesn't rise, gas is heavier then air, so he does it right. And i think if you compare the weight of a bullit and the weight of a pumpkin and distance they travel when fired, the pimpkingun isn't that weak :p
