after the re-raise you have to think that the other player has AA KK QQ...so i think that the he made a big mistake after making that big bet considering that he had the nuts...cheking he could represent KK or a weaker A(AQ)and maybe that way phil would bet after the river...with the pot around 6500, he bet 10k...so phil had to put him on something(and he was right...full house)...good fold..but the other player just made it too obvious

Very good lay down... He put him on a full house, because there's no reason for him to have a 4 in this hand. I usually consider Hellmuth overrated, but he holds his ground at the WSOPs

You are a muppet, top pair top kicker and a bet that looks like the biggest steal of the century. That is an incredible laydown and i guarantee if u were faced with phils situation u would get knocked out time and time again, no doubt.

but also a give away he was the bet amount - didnt the guy bet liek 3 x the pot or something stupid?
superdave31 (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
with the blurr on the screen i thought he had pockets 6s lol thinking wtf he has the best hand!!
tlamps94 (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
i highly doubt you or many other people could make that laydown. there is simply not many hands that have phil beat there. AA and QQ are the only hands that could have him beat (theres no reason the guy would have a 4 obviously). laying queens down preflop is much easier than laying AK down preflop because when u have AK, the chances that someone else has AA or KK are significantly decreased.
hind-sight might make hands like these seem easy to you.

please..?? great laydown haha people are always givin this guy more credit that he deserves. sure he does have a premium starting hand but when u get speed raised by the nit sitting next to him he has to suspect hes a dog at least pre-flop. that the stupid chk the big bet, the dumb ass comments, it all adds up pretty quick he beaten. this is not a good example of a great laydown. especially for him. how bout laying down queens preflop againest aces? |
