Keiichi Tsuchiya has always been famous for being able to drift from corner to corner. Not to mention his favorite car is the AE86. And as for Initial D, he is the technical supervisor of the show since day one to make sure the drifts were as realistic looking as possible and for everything to be accurate. He and Shuichi Shigeno are both avid AE86 owners (both owned them before the show obviously). And Tsuchiya drifted for them as well so they could use the footage to help make the scenes.

People say drifting isn't the fastest way around a corner, it depends on the course at times, and even though i'm a big FF driver (i love my EG6), i have to say that drifting proved it's point. I loved it at 3:29, simply amazing.

yea i love the throttle response that my mr2 has its great for autocrossing. the 4age is the perfect engine for it, lightweight and a balance between horsepower and torque instead of an engine that only gets going at high rpms.

True, I went for a drive along on a friend's AE92, with the same engine (4AGE), still in stock spec, and that thing has amazing power from low to high revs. amazing engine

drag racing is cool but your comparing a 400 dollar engine (4age) to an 1800 dollar one (b16) and it still only puts out about 20-30 more horsepower than a 4age not that the 4age puts out more torque and is a great deal more reliable

Hachiroku is incredible in cornering its so fast soon as it comes out of the corner wells it also depends on the driver...

psh....tsuchiya had a ae86 long before initial d came out...better yet...he was the inspiration for initial d to come out
