He comes off as intelligent and thoughtful, more than I would have thought. I think there was a big backlash to his instant popularity, but I've always liked his work, and In Bruges was amazing.

dude, i was invited to south america by friends from there, i love them (you dick) but in rio where people not so super friendly to tourists, they warmed up for that reason. look, i actually dont really like bono but to use him as a figurehead of evil is.................zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz im too bored to finish nightnight

joey - get over Bono my friend. his music now sucks, he's a bit annoying, but he's not a bad person by any stretch. visited south american once and when i said i was from ireland people would say oh wow, u2 are so great. they wouldnt haven given me the time of day otherwise. im been a bit grateful ever since. he doesnt claim to be a saint. and im gonna take a wild guess and say he's given a few million to charity more than you, so actually just shutup, its really boring. pick on the bad guys.

Yeah,he has money coming out his ears and I"ll bet he doesnt give any of it to these poor people that he talks about.I have never seen third world people in Bonos Dublin hotel.Fair play to Joe Dolan(R.I.P), A generous man who fed poor people at Christmas and gave money away without looking for recognition.

the hat was a personal matter. it was his hat and he feels it was a piece of his history. he paid for it, and her services. she seemed like a bit of a twat to be honest. and im pretty sure bono isnt in the african clothing trade racket to rip people off, just a hunch, he's got money coming out of his ears.
