Man this whole trailer completely blows about 3/4 of the movie's plot. I'm glad I saw the movie first.

It was deliberately set in 2001 to avoid anachronisms like that.

the murder actually took place in 1993, but in one seen they were watching eminem on tv, which is a huge anacronism that they should have noticed.

This movie is one of the most brilliant movies I've ever seen. The cast is flawless when it comes to teenage behavior.
