I'm not sure about which analysis you are talking here? The description comes, just as the video, as stated, from Ubuweb. Interesting view though, although saying that it has no meaning, would implie a fixed meaning in the play, which I don't quite agree with. Hoped you enjoyed the video nevertheless;-)

Samuel Beckett believed that everything in life is futile: "the answer to life is simlply six; it's not my job to think, it's irrelivent"-Samuel Beckett... Not I, much like "Play" or ANY other production of his simply has no meaning... And it Therefore is brilliant.

personally i think that you are analysing this play incorectly. Samuel Beckett is first an absurdist, and furthermore an existentialist. we, being who we are; wanting a "nice and neat" way of looking at things wish to add Brechtian elements to it to make ourselves feel better; saying that this play has a purpose, a reason, an objective, wherass it really has NONE.

Hey vardsmith, I'd say I know more about Samuel Beckett than you do, I've performed and directed some of Beckett's plays, and I've seen this play live, and I know that Billie Whitelaw's performance of it is exceptional. Just to let you know you're not talking to a fool.

You don't, then, appreciate its meaning.
Notice the mouth is unlimited, perpetuous, continuous... the sound fades in at the beginning, and out at the end - the mouth, though, continues to talk.
It's a narration of life... Interpret it as you wish, there's plenty of grounds for that - surely such a fact can only be admired.
