well thats what the uncanny valley is, its something approximating a human that's very close to a human but with some subtle differences or flaws if its different enough so that its obviously unhuman we dont find it revolting. In Crysis the NPCs are obviously animated and thus unhuman. Yet a similarly realistic physical robot can elicit revulsion. you are correct about this baby however, its not creepy because of the uncanny valley. Its creepy because it looks like a demon corpse

what im saying is this: in crysis, the npcs look far more realistic than the corpse alien baby, yet the baby is sickening and the npcs arent. thats why im saying that the baby isnt creepy because of the "uncanny valley" theory

i saw that japanese engineer's female robot. looks like a corpse to me. its a different kind of realism though isnt it. the npcs in crysis look more human, but then again they dont because theyre 2d.

not quite in crysis the characters are just 'unhuman' enough to not quite have reached the uncanny valley check out some japanese robots if you need proof of the valley's legitimacy. They're fucking creepy

Lol! The baby looks weird i think it may be deformed. This was pretty fun to watch! I feel sorry for the soft toys having to put up with that baby though!
