Which was basically just a rocket. This thing had to stay on the ground! Very difficult thing to do. Noble and Swansea University are teaming up again to make the bloodhound. 1000mph+ Cant say I would like to drive it though!

They can afford the camera - the problem is that there weren't any 'good' cameras built to handle the kind of vibration that this thing was going through. If you did this today, you'd stick a digi-camcorder in there, but they didn't really exist a decade ago. They were using tape based hardened cameras and transmitting, but there are limits to what you can do when moving parts are involved. Even mil-spec stuff would have struggled with this.
