Basically what you are saying was this did happen but it wasn't to bad, so the pilot landed and saw that it wasn't to bad took a hammer to the rest of the wing just so he could brag about it. Obviously you are wrong because it did take the damage and land. You have to go out and prove that this never happened. That the discovery channel and manufacture are wrong and the Israel Air force is lying. he said he was going to fast and that the only reason he stopped was the cable on the runway

pro: Eagles have a fairly wide, wing-like body that might give a lot of uplift too. So the loss of an actual wing is probably not the loss of 50% of uplift but something between 20 and 30. AND you've got a lot of power. Does a rocket need wings? contra: you'd have to go fast to keep it in the air. you can't land a lot faster than jets do anyway. my guess: the damage was smaller than what we see here. Sure they can take SOME damage - these are war planes. But there are limits.

I'm sorry I haven't gone to Israel and interviewed the guy myself, but I trust the discovery channel to do research on it. McDonald Douglas said that it was possible and they made the plane. The burden of proof is on you to disprove what was said here.

did you actually SEE this one winged plane fly? I'm not saying it's a hoax, but there's no material showing this plane in the air. And flying is one thing, landing another.

i didn't know the design spec was the ability to fly with one wing... overengineering?

Luck or outstanding American engineering? You be the judge.

I am sure this has something to do with physics? Or maybe the F-15C's wing is so huge it is big enough to get more air flow to stablise the plane.
