My "video" to Eluveitie song "Slania's Song" from album "Slania" ********* Eluveitie is "Celtic pagan metal" - and it's Helvetian, because Eluveitie just comes from Helvetia. The main part of their tunes are influenced by traditional Breton folk music (Brittany was also Gaulish, like Helvetia was). They're using mix of Gaulish and Schwyyzerdüütsch 'coz there are still lot of Gaulish words in it. Hope you liked it - I was trying my best. LYRIC: Catoues caletoi Urit namantas anrimius Ro- te isarnilin -urextont, Au glannabi rhenus Ad ardus alpon, Tou' magisa matua Tou' brigas iuerilonas Budinas bardon Clouos canenti Anuanon anmaruon, Cauaron colliton, Adio- biuotutas -robirtont Uolin cridili Are rilotuten atrilas A ulati, mon atron, A brogi'm cumbrogon! Cante cladibu in lame Exsrextos canumi ENGLISH Grim battles Against countless foes Have steeled you From the shores of the Rhine To the top of the Alps, Your fair meadows, Your rank heathlands The choirs of bards Sing the glory Of the undying names Of fallen heroes, That gave their lives, Their blood For the freedom of their fatherland. Oh Sovereignty of my fathers Oh land of my countrymen! From your root sprang A glorious nation Of dure heroes. Oh dulcet blossom of the living world! Oh my fatherland, oh my Helvetia! Your woman and maids Noble and fair, Your highest men To this bravesong They join in The sword in my hand Stand up and sing

Nope, it is Gaulish, you can ask Eluveitie themselfs and BTW Gaelic is spoken in Ireland, Scottland and Wales, but each with itwn dialect. Today the language almost doesn't exsist anymore, only a view 40000 people left speaking it in Ireland.

Indeed they were Maeryaenus, they were truly awsome.Best band i've ever seen live, I really do hope to see them again , either in Romania or anywhere else. P.S. Nice story Tsumanne, quite interesting. P.P.S. About the language..celtic, does anyone know some sites where u can learn it? :d

I find the story behind the name of the song interesting. Slania is a girl's name that the male vocalist found on a 2,500 year-old grave. Thus explaning why on "Slania's Song" the lead vocalist is female. Also worth noting the CD is titled "Slania" and the cover has a little girl on on it holding a sword. That too can be further expanded, but it's 4:30am and I'm feeling lazy.
