i say its more the physical style you learn how to play an instrument then the fingerings. like on guitar if u drop your E to a D its still the same physical playing style just slightly different fingerings. Fingerinbgs are easily adaptable. its just playing style thats hard. I play guitar n its slight bit harder to play a bowed instrument even if the bowed instrument was tuned like a guitar. Another example is the difference between piano and xylophone, same notes-key ratio, different style tho

And the bass is tuned EADG and the cello is CGDA. it's diferent fingering.

not exactly, for stand up bass(double bass) u play standing up for cello u play sitting down holding it with your inner thighs

He played Cello... So I guess Vic knows how to play the upright bass... Since the way the cello and the upright bass are played are identical.

i love everything wooten, and that includes everything bela fleck and i love this song... but i really loathed this video
