No, people use everything *but* God as a crutch to get through life. Once she realizes she doesn't need that type of help, she turns back to God and no longer needs her crutch/braces...and she still sees those walking around still needing them. God is her true source of Life.

Yes, it's a Christian song. TFK is a Christian band. The girl is messed up - has turned away from God. She needs to "move" and come back to Him. She realizes it at the end, when she was going to use "crutches" to get through life. Then she remembers what she has to do - turn her life back to God. Then she sees all the people with their crutches - those who aren't relying in the Lord, but she's a new creature in Christ.
