Btw cons as you are always so ignorant to know but even before this financial crisis the USA had far greater challenges than even France, never mind most of the rest of Western Europe which is structurally more sound. You can look up any statistics site you want to confirm this.

All that vacation has made the Frenchman earn MUCH MUCH more for every hour he does work. They are far and away more productive than Americans whether you like it or not. And they get to enjoy their life outside of work as well.

I'm not sure you realize how much reason you have to crow. You realize Sarkozy is far to the left of Obama right? It's funny seeing conservatives a year ago celebrating Sarkozy they are clueless of allied politics. In Europe the GOP would be a fringe party.
Sarkozy is now triumphing his efforts to temper American capitalism. You can't get much more liberal than Sarkozy.

Not exactly a "free market" when the government steps in to bail it out and consistently interferes with it. An example is the 'zero down' program our government (both Republican and Democrat) pushed for home ownership.

What a difference a year makes! The free market has collapsed and Sarkozy remains increasingly unpopular in France with the Socialist Party beginning to rapidly reclaim provinces. Ouch.

Gingrich gives a good little talk about Nicholas Sarkozy, Sarkozy's book, and relates an experience he had while on a trip to France.

You have just made the case for Obama.
I agree. Extraordinary lives.
Obama raised by single caucasian mother from Kansas. A Kenyan father, raised also by his caucasian grandparents. As a child lived in different cultures. Wrote a book, easy read, "The Odasity of Hope". and has a magic formula for Change.
I think we can now make better California wines than many of the French ones. That is change you can count on.

Yes, Sarkozy is so first-rate that he has low approval numbers similar to Bush's and the Socialists are now regaining key provinces in French elections. Newt just lives in a dreamworld where the stars on the American flag are replaced with dollar bills.

Just got a call from DC, from Gingrich staff-NO JOKE-wanting to offer his book free and autographed...something is up, This man wants to take Cheney's place....just wait...the call, all propaganda and 'Hillarese'-all the great things he could do, no discussion of how..but hey, it sounds good- wont most believe him?

I don't need to google, I lived through the welfare state. I remember people living in Chicago and having P.O. boxes in Wisconsin to collect welfare because it was so damn good. I remember going with my father to many of our neighbors who were on welfare, and saw them eating steak while sitting in brand new furniture. We kind of just laughed about it and voted Republican, like most of the country did. And things changed. I'll give Clinton and other moderates some credit for that too. |
