You can buy a stompbox pedal, the 'Clapton' model, that will get you close to that tone; otherwise you could try a blood transfusion & hope some of that tone is tansfused to your fingers!

Well I absolutely adore Cream and I do enjoy this cover but personally I believe the Allman Brothers version at Fillmore East is far superior. Maybe it's just that it's closer to the original? I don't really know what it is...
