The guy singing is Dewey Bunnell. The guy with maracas is Dan Peek. Dan sang very well on a couple of their hits "Lonely People" and "Don't Cross The River". He sang a key or two higher and matched those two songs better than the other two. Dewey now resides about 60 miles from me in n. Wisconsin. Was stationed at Travis AFB, CA in 71-72 when these guys just took over the air waves. Grammy award in 1972 for best new group or band. Should have had Grammy for best single..."Horse With No Name".

Not bad, but what happened to the cool bass line that propels the original recording? It's just kinda lame and lumbering here. Maybe this was a rehearsal before they recorded the song. Nice harmonies though.
