Listen, I am in the middle of the debate because, as an Englander and a patriotic Briton, I beleive we should not forget our good freinds in Wales, I do how ever think we should not change 300 years of history. If I had to make the descition, right know I would say, a larger percentage of myself wants the flag to be changed, but not so that the Welsh dragon or flag is promenant on the flag, what I mean is, if they stook a welsh dragon in the front of it, that would be too much.

English MPs vote on the Scottish budget each year. A majority of English MPs voted for setting up the Scottish Parliament. A majority of English MPs created the constitutional situation that exists right now. So, yes they do have the privilege of have a say on affairs vis-a-vis Scotland don't you think?
As for Trident based in Scotland, that will be a significant problem for Rest-of-Britain when Scotland leaves the Union won't it?

And besides you said that the US stars REPRESENTS all the states. The British flag REPRESENTS all of Britain, not just england, scotland and N.Irland keep in mind.

Well sizers last time I checked we're from the UK, not the US. Consider the fact that this flag has been with us for 300 years, we could have put the england flag at the top left of your flag and the scottish flag and left it like that. Would you be happier if we did that? I am not going against what your saying but I am not going towards the arguement of changing it. So if you want to make a change become a politition. And always be a patriot to Wales and the UK, I am even though I'm English :)

US have stars to repesent every state so why can't the union jake reprosent all the stats of the UK. its time for a change!!!!

There has always been a small minor debate on wales being in the Union flag but you have to remember it represents our land, If the flag had nothing to do with individual continential countries it doesn't matter, like the US flag, it doesnt have any state flags in it does it? Wales is a great country but we shouldn't change 400 years of history.
