"SOCK IT TO ME!" I would say it's Jazz/Rock. Did you know that this song started in the studio as the backing track for a Monkees cover version of Mose Allison's song "Parchment Farm"? Mike Nesmith did not like the idea of covering someones else's hit song, so they wrote new lyrics, added some horns to this track and out came "Goin' Down".
