DL was awesome. He started early and said "the sooner we start, the sooner we can go home" and then he played longer. If anyone has any suggestions on Cajun music, please post. I have a couple Cajun Spice CD's and some DL Menard, Balfa Bros, and Beausoleil, but other than that, I don't know of anyone. Thanks!

Nonetheless, I still feel really really bad for insulting Tony Balfa several times. I will have to look for the DVD. The Balfa Brothers are one of my favorites. I think they're listed on my channel. I never saw them live, but I did see DL Menard. That was incredible. I so love cajun music!

The vid. quality is bad due to original quality of the VCR tape I had. Get the DVD, it is for sale online in numerous places.

its ok ur cool and yes it is truely amazing.

Okay... now I feel retarded. And that's fair. Due to the grainy video quality, it must've been some sort of ingrained gender identity thing that caused me to think Tony was a woman just because of long hair. I apologize to you, kll510, and Tony Balfa, and everyone who ever enjoyed the Balfa Brothers... Nonetheless, great, incredible playing. Simply amazing!

The person playing the sticks is a GUY. His name is Tony Balfa.

She's pretty good, too... to be hitting different strings while he holds the chord... amazing stuff!

I sure miss Dewey after all these years. I was sitting right in front of that stage at Port Townsend watching that performance. A magic moment, for sure. |
