Kids in a America is a really old song. It originated in the early 80's. Several artists have done their own versions of it, which is a fairly common practice. Many "original" songs by today's up and coming artists, are actually renditions of old songs from 10 or more years ago.

I know what you mean. I may not like all the songs from their current album, but I still listen to it because they're great--just in a different way. I may not be completely happy with the new stuff, but they came out with something. I just don't like how some new fans think this is better than the old stuff. That's it.

Back to WPHSBandGeek's comment, i've known Linkin Park for about 9 years now, since 2000... I liked them from day one really, to start with Xero (with Mark Wakefield) was alright, then Hybrid Theory Ep and Hybrid theory came out which were both amazing, followed by all the other later albums... not everyone liked them as soon as M2M came out, some like me were true fans, like with any good music i'll be with them from day one till the end!
Laters.
