Beatrice is both the Baudelaire's mother, Kit Snicket's baby, and the name of the boat the Baudelaires leave the Island on (I think). So if the message says "Beatrice sank", it's probably referring to the last one, i.e. the Baudelaire's boat has sunk.

Let me get this straight. Beatrice is the mother!! She died in the fire and so as the baudelaires parents. Suspicious much! It says straight from wikipedia,

If you watch the other 3 videos, you'll find other triangles w/ letters. If you sort of unscrambled them, you can figure out what it means.
