Bure is the best Canuck.
Always remember what he did for the team.
Who cares if he left, Florida needed a better player and they still do.

I live in Vancouver and although i was too young to every have watched Bure, watching these videos are more exciting than watching the current Canucks. Luongo is the only player that'd make me go watch a canucks game, and there will never be as much excitement like Bure when you have Sedin Twins and Raymond first line =.= I wear your #10 jersey proudly!! BURE best canuck, ever.

That very night:
"Pavel Bure had been subject to several cheap shots during the course of the game that went unpenalized, received a cross check from Craig Ludwig. When he was knocked to his knees, Bure received a whallop from Dallas tough guy Shane Churla. Referee Andy Van Hellemond did not see the cross check or the punch from Churla, so Pavel Bure took things into his own hands; or shall we say took things into his own elbow. Bure leveled Churla with a wild elbow to his jaw." - May 4, 1994

Linden should just shut his fucking mouth. Part of the reason Bure wanted a trade was because he couldnt stand "good 'ol Trev".

I'd like to see him play at this current NHL without the Clutching and Grabbing of the 90's and the Post-Lockout rules (2 line passes etc.)....Ovechkin who?

One of the most amazing players ever.
But the check at 4:53 is not determination; that's ku**ing dangerous..

they should retire #10 for next season
Lennac (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
The context of the hit was determination... that playoff series vs. Dallas he was getting hit (often without the puck) to keep him out of the game. He got fed up and took it out on one of the guys running around... at 5'10'' and known as a sniper? Good for him... especially since he got away with it (ah, the good old 1 referee system :P)

Bure was treated with disrespect by the Canuck organization. By reneging on there promise to pay him through the lockout. Rumors that he was going to withhold his services if he didn't give a new contract, he got no support from the Canuck organization. After all he had done for the organization and this is how they repay him.
And the media camping out on his doorstep, accusing him of being part of the Russian mafia. The media ran him out of town.
Wise words from Jim. He Got no support. |
