Technically, of course it's not neccessary to use wraps in a Body Combat class. But it helps the participants to follow the movements, especially in fast techniques, like jabs. Also, it just feels better and can work as a sweatband too. As an instructor, it simply adds to the atmosphere. Some instructors use different colours to help participants that have a problem with left and right.Doesn't really matter how to wrap, as long as it's comfortable, and not cutting off circulation.

never EVER wrap your pinky or ring finger. they are set off on a different angle than the other two fingers. so when trying to reinforce it, instead you make it easier to break them.
