yah, good luck getting a big diesel like that running again..lol. it would be a bitch to start them bak up kuz of the cold. no spark so it takes alot longer. and when its cold, forget it :P

Yup. you're right. They just leave a million dollar locomotive on the side of the tracks to rust. It's too bad there isn't any sort of lifting technology that will put the wheels back on the rails or something.

Had to get two sideboom tractors on one derailed locomotive,tie 2 long cables to the loco that did not derail and slowly pulled it east while the sidebooms lifted and moved towards the tracks to get it rerailed.
