jimi was a fan of clapton but that still dont make him superior to jimi they played two styles of guitar jimi was a fan of the style not because he was better ...dont get me wrong clapton kicks ass but jimi was the greatest

why would you even compare them anyways? clapton and hendrix were great friends back in the sixties. both were great guitarists and admired each other's work. clapton is still great, he just plays a little more relaxed nowadays. and honestly, imo, there is no other guitarist that puts out the kind of emotion that clapton did now who wasn't around during the 50's-70's

The first-and one of the greatest- blues singers I ever heard. After him I went on to other great artists like Howlin' Wolf, B.B. King, Little Milton, Colin James, and Eric Clapton. All great artists.

Good points man, not sure about the Who but otherwise i agree, I think that Clapton;s repuitation though was built from the Yardbirds to Laylae, and he has ben abit inclined to just rest on his laurels since, althouh some nights he is insanely good.

For me. Albert is the true master, he thinks way ahead of the song and always plays the right notes at the right time, supreme timing, never overplays, beautiful tone, great singer, he has it all, we need this dedication more than ever in music, now that the music industry is nothing more than a one hit wonder machine obsessed with money more than it is with music. If you have half an ear, people like Albert will never die in our hearts and souls. Truely inspirational!! thanks for posting this |
