Not to say that all underground artists should sell out, but in M.I.A's case, she has a song that appeals to a large number of people, you can go bitch to her about that decision yourself 'cause everyone else doesn't really seem to give a fuck.

Bro just cause it's mainstream doesn't mean it sucks. I love indie music but M.I.A is 10,000 times better than all the other chart toppers. I'd much rather see an indie-electronic artist (like M.I.A) get money and publicity from a GENUINELY funny movie, rather than some fake pop artist. The fact of the matter is that she's still the way she is (weird and original) just on a wider more popular spectrum.
