It is the politicians fault I agree, every army does what it is told, that's their job, the government tells them to do something they have to. AK 47 isn't a bad gun, it depends on your strategy, American strategy is all about long range fire, keeping the distance from the enemy, that's why they made the M16, to be able to hit accurately from a long distance, Russian army strategy is to advance close up, but ways are effective, it's all about opinion.

3- from my personal XP. you dont need an acurate rifle like an M16 there is no point the purpose of an automatic rifle is to form a little cloud of led and hope it hits some one trust me that is how it works if you want some thing accurate you will have to go with some thing more like a sniper rifle 4- maintenance you can keep you AK47 for lets say a year hidden under water you take it out BOOM you can shoot dont tell me you can do that with M16 i heard that BS before

usmcssniper i am sorry but you are wrong. i have been to russian army i have fired a AK47 and i fired M16 cuz i was spetsnaz and you know what it is not very good compared to AK47. 1- your story is BS cuz the terrorists the dont know how to properly shoot it so of course they are not going to get You. 2-AK47 is the best gun in reliability ,i am sorry but when i was training with the M16 i bent my barel once and after i unbend it and it didnt shoot AK you can

The ak47 are one of the most hardest weapon to use. The gun recoil are so bad, it can knock your shoulder back. This gun can not be call as a assault rifle, it should be call a Machine Gun. Because of the massive damage and the undestructable ability. Fully automatic and plus with the recoiling stock and 100 round capacy, this thing would over run the m249 US mitilary machine gun.
