I would probably listen more if he didn't sound like a bore. He could try to animate his speech. Boring.

I'm pretty sure anyone who's ever heard a speech by a third party candidate or met someone who votes third party knows that... But just because abortion is a wedge issue doesn't mean that it's less important than States rights, decentralization, & other Paul issues, at least not to me.
KentAllard (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
those, and abortion, are the 'topics' that candidates are allowed to debate at great length and receive immense analysis from the media. In any reasonable society they'd be confined to a carnival sideshow, but in the US they're what whole elections hinge on. And the reason is obvious: they dont discuss other topics and issues because all candidates policies are largely the same.

someone remind me why Chomsky is called a 'gatekeeper'?

He's got a couple good points about how corporations try to get laws passed that make competition from small businesses almost impossible.. But the global warming/big bang/evolution denial & pro-life -ness of Ron Paul just isn't something I could put up with for 4 more years

Ron Paul is a corporatist shill
