I agree with most of what you say, however, we are NOT just here! We belong here as much as any group. Our history in America is longer than most here now (Jews, Germans, Irish, Asians. Af-Am's as a group have expanded so much into the American middle-class, we can no longer consider ourselves a monolith. We come in every sort of class, color, economic stratum. Therefore, it is hard to determine common goals as a "group". Self-love and love of God and neighbor is key for any group.
